EMA StatusMsg Description

When EMA Consumer receives a StatusMsg which include "State" with value "Closed / Ok / None / 'Stream closed for batch'".

  • Where to get the full list of state values responded in StatusMsg?
  • Where to find the description of each state value?
  • in EMA Webdocs directory, I try to open the index.html by using Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on my Mac. The webpage doesn't show any content but keeps redirecting so wondering how to fix it?

Cheers,

Tony

Hi @tony.zhu

As per our chat the other day, please try opening the offline docs using Microsoft Internet Explorer - they should open fine in IE.

Hi @tony.zhu,

Which link are you referring to?. You can see the EMA Java docs at: https://developers.refinitiv.com/elektron/elektron-sdk-java/docs.

The API reference manual is available at:
https://docs-developers.refinitiv.com/1588254242869/6066/Docs/refman/emajava/index.html

The StatusMsg contains the com.thomsonreuters.ema.access.OMMState which has Data and Stream state and code.

Thanks for your reply. The Webdocs I referred is the folder extracted from ESDK pkg.

Re. https://docs-developers.refinitiv.com/1588254242869/6066/Docs/refman/emajava/index.html is actually redirecting to https://developers.refinitiv.com/elektron-internal/elektron-sdk-java-edition

BTW, our local EMA clients prefer offline docs to Dev Forum as some of them don't have Internet access at work. So, it will help if ESDK Webdocs pages can be loaded on their local browsers, in particular, Mac.

Thanks for pointing out the issue - I will raise it with package team.

For offline javadocs, please use the refman directory included in the ESDK package.

Hi, Gupreet and Umer,

When opening refman pages, is there any method to search the definition. For instance, the descriptions of CLOSING_RUN,QUOTE,TRADE,UNSPECIFIED in MsgType 'UpdateMsg'?

Hi @tony.zhu

Once you open the documentation, click on the Index link and then usef Find on the page:

TBH the descriptions are limited - since they are Market Data terms and not specifically EMA related:
