rsslWrite() returned flush failed and channel is not active

An EDGE disconnected the user with below error message:

RSSL disconnect from "etwsadmin" at position "154.1.223.149" on host "Xlnmdpl.ln.fw.ks.com" using application "256" on channel 1468. Reason: rsslWrite() returned flush failed and channel is not active <..\..\..\Ripc\Impl\ripcsrvr.c:9479> ripcWrite() failed: (10053)

Is there a firewall between the EED and the client’s app? 99% of the time, a firewall is the cause for disconnects south of EED.
