EED support of Views and Batch request from API

I am developing an application sending Views and Batch request to EED directly. However, when the program make View request, the EED responded:

streamState: Open

dataState: ok

statusCode: FullViewProvided

statusText: This server does not support view requests. Full view will be requested instead.

According to EED 2.2 Programmer Guide, section 12.6 UPA Introduction, Users can use UPA to write consumer-based applications capable of the following:

Can make Streaming and Snapshot based subscription requests to Elektron Edge.

Can perform Batch, Views, and Symbol Lists to Elektron Edge.

Supports Pause and Resume on active data streams with Elektron Edge.

Is there any settings need on EED to enable these functionality?

Later versions of EED have had dynamic views disabled due to the additional impact this has on EED. This application should request data from a TREP environment that serves up content from EED this will correctly serve up dynamic views + batch snapshots. Something seems wrong, why is the application connecting directly to EED instead of to a local ADS ? They’re missing the resiliency, high availability and a number of additional important features of TREP.
