Is there any way to identify a RIC is an EOD or not ?

Hi Team,

Is there any way to identify whether a RIC symbol is actually an EOD symbol ? For example we have EONIA which is an EOD symbol but do we have any way from the properties or something to identify the symbol is actually an eod ?

Thanks in advance!!

If you by EOD mean data items that only update once per day then the answer is no.

To take your example: EONIA is a reference rate. It happens to be updated only once per day and to some extent you may call it an EOD rate as it is calculated just before the Target2 system is closed at 18:00 CET. Many other reference rates that I know of (e.g. LIBOR) are certainly not to be classified as a EOD-rate because they are often harvested on mid-day, so in this sense EONIA is a bit special.

The items on the data feed do not carry with them any information about how often they are supposed to update, nor about when they are expected to update next time.

Kind regards

Lars
