Thanks again for the clarification of The Byte Order Mark (BOM). My Unix Expert recommended that the file snapshot report files be produced without the BOM: that was his recommendation but we rely on your content managers for the final decision. Please consult with your Content experts if they agree that this will solve the problem and if it is possible to produce new version of the snapshot reports at your earliest convenience. In order to support your content managers, and in the spirit of partnership, please share with them the following two examples of using UNIX grep command (one with the LGDF XML file and another one with the Snapshot report XML file (both files attached): grep 'ISIN' 35084105.xml grep works perfect with the XML file produced by LGDF35084105.xml grep 'ISIN' Report_A46F6.xml grep does not work with the snapshot report Report_A46F6.xml Hope this help.
