503 error: API Proxy not running

Hi Guys - been getting this error for the past week. Have tried all solutions listed in the forum and the troubleshooting guides:

1. Cleared cache

2. Restarted Eikon and the computer multiple times

3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the python eikon lib

Nothing seems to work.

Would really appreciate a specific response from Refinitiv. Hope they realize that Eikon is a PAID service, not some open source library. Such errors are very frustrating and really spoil the user experience, to speak nothing of the impact on work.

Any long-term solution that members of the community have found?

Hi Chavalit, any call to ek.get_data gives the error.

I also checked the local host:9000 and I could see the path:api.

I am sorry but in this case, you have to open a ticket to Refinitiv Helpdesk so they can assign a ticket to Technical Support group.

The helpdesk asked me to raise the ques in the developer forum!
