Connect Reuters to another device using SAS or Excel

Hi,

Is it possible to connect the device where Reuters is installed with another PC using an API key, using SAS or Excel? Or it is only possible to do that with python (using eikon package) and R?

Hi @nicolas.munoz

It is not possible to connect to Eikon Desktop from different PC.

The user agreement does not the data to leave the PC which user is using Eikon Desktop.

But it is possible to do it using python or R right, with the API key?

Or for example Python must be installed in the computer where Reuters is installed to be able to download data via Python?

Hi @nicolas.munoz

The Eikon Data APIs (provided in Python) must be installed and executed on the same PC too.

Just want to clarify, when you mention "Reuters", are you referring to Eikon Desktop as a desktop product ?
