We are running PHP on our platform, but is there no other way to access the API (say RESTful) without using Python?

@d8e1795e-6e08-46dd-b6da-a1e328cb0713 since you are looking into using PHP, I am guessing you would like to build a web server app with access to Eikon API. This use case is not allowed and is in breach with the current Eikon end user license.
I think you need to speak to your Account Manager, and they will assist in finding a correct solution for your requirements, such as DataScope Select or Knowledge Direct.
