RIC mappings after corporate actions

Is there any way to get the RIC of the company spun-off from a parent organization or the rics of merger and acquiror companies that participated in a merger and acquisition activity using the python API?

It could be TR.SecurityOwnedRIC under Ownership => Ownership Investors => Investor-Level Holdings category from Eikon Excel Formula Builder.

If not, please contact Eikon Support team for TR.xxx fields or formula which can provide the required information.

Hi,

I do not see the Security Owned RIC in the options (attached screenshot)

What is shown on your screen should work, but I do not see that option.

@sonam.srivastava
I believe what you're looking for is given the RIC GETIb.ST, which represents ordinary shares of Getinge AB, to find the RIC ARJOb.ST, which represents ordinary shares of Arjo AB, which was demerged from Getinge AB in Dec 2017.
The field that @jirapongse.phuriphanvichai mentioned would give the RIC of a stock of a public company if it has as a strategic investor another public company. E.g. Ford Motor Co (F.N) owns 41% of Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (FROTO.IS), hence given F.N TR.SecurityOwnedRIC field will return FROTO.IS.
However in case of a spin off or demerger the old company may not necessarily hold any shares in the new issue. In your example Getinge AB may not own any portion of Arjo.
If instead of ownership we look at the capital change events for GETIb.ST, we will find the demerger event completed on 12-Dec-2017 and from the field TR.CANewIssue we can find the name of the new issue "Arjo Ord Shs". But I don't see any way to get the RIC or other identifier such as ISIN for it.
This said none of the moderators on this forum are specialists in every type of data available through Thomson Reuters products. If I don't see a way to retrieve certain data, it doesn't always mean there's no way. You may want to contact Thomson Reuters Helpdesk and ask if indeed there's no way at all using Eikon to get ARJOb.ST given GETIb.ST.

Thank you Alex for the reply.

I have raised this query to Reuters Help and the local Reuters RM in India already and I am awaiting an answer.

There was a suggestion to check the RIC history to get this information, but the RIC history for GETIb.ST does not contain any linkage to ARJOb.ST.
